Talk: Curator Craig Judd on Amanda Davies' Purge and on the work of Detached

About Craig Judd: is curator of Detached, a privately funded, not-for-profit visual arts organisation in Hobart Tasmania, with a  project space gallery located in a heritage listed church. Detached has a brief to promote the energy of the contemporary arts and hosts exhibitions, artist-in-residence programs and works closely with the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery (TMAG) and MONA (Museum of Old and New Art). For MONAFOMA 2012, Detached is presenting "Spaceshifter" a sound installation by Sonia Leber and David Chesworth.

 

Craig Judd was senior curator at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery and is highly regarded as a commentator on contemporary art and related cultural issues. Craig Judd's book on the late Melbourne pop artist, "Stuart Black: Still Life" will be published mid-2012 with an accompanying celebratory exhibition at the Victorian College of the Arts.
